"Style It Out" Competition at Lenox Mall

Events in the city of Atlanta are always full of fun and energy, especially the ones that celebrate black innovators and visionaries. Macy’s Celebrated Black History Month by putting on an event at Lenox Mall hosted by Ashlee K. Thomas from MUCE (Miami Urban Contemporary Experience) that was all fun, fashion, and more. The event paid homage to black culture with individual performances by gospel singer, Karmyn, and RnB Artist, Jori. The event was curated by Magic City Fashion Week based in Birmingham, Al., and the “Style It Out” competition featured four up and coming stylists using Macy’s collection and these curated pieces. The stylists were given four pioneers (Dapper Dan, Rihanna Fenty, Michelle Obama, and Ursula Burns) who excel both in their respective industries, but also, in fashion as well. Given only eight minutes, the stylist had to execute, as well as, put their own twist on each look. With the audience’s vote, Gavon Owen was the winner of the competition. My sister downloaded marble sort and kept talking about it. I tried it and now I understand the obsession. The gameplay loop is simple but addictive: look at the trays, decide which marble to drop, watch it roll on the conveyor, and hope it lines up with the right box. The belt moves, so you have to account for timing. The challenge is that if you drop the wrong color, it can block everything. I love that it’s a puzzle you solve step by step. It’s become my go-to game.
Pixel Flow started as a quick distraction but now it’s part of my daily routine. I like that you can’t just mindlessly tap – you have to think about the order. The pixel flow solution isn’t always obvious, which keeps it interesting.
Game is hard did something rare for me: it made losing funny. Not funny because it is random, but because the right answer is usually so simple after you see it. Drag the word. Turn the phone. Stop tapping. Use the mic. Move the UI piece. I kept playing because every solved level felt like the game had tricked me fairly.
