Wrap Up: Men's Fashion Week in Milan

The who's who of fashion strolled down Milan's streets this past week for MILANO MODA UOMO FALL/WINTER 2018/19. These fashion figures dressed ready to impress this year's luxury designers who've earned their spot in Milan's international fashion show.

Ermenegildo Zegna: Fall 2018

Zegna's ready for winter in these looks. And judging by his Alpine setting complete with fake snow, his models are properly equipped. His collection begins with a lot of neutrals and progresses into colorful but professional suits and coats. Of course, faux fur is an essential this season and can be seen on the collars of his bomber jacket.

Fendi: Fall 2018

Some of my favorite pieces come from Fendi's newest collection. The iconic 'F' pattern adorns many of his pieces and 'Fendi Family' sweater is a personal favorite that I covet. Silvia Venturini Fendi explains that her fitting airport-themed runway was intended to symbolize the start of the brand. Fendi began as a small shop selling luggage and umbrellas hence the continuation and incorporation of baggage on the 2018 runway.

Prada: Fall 2018

Even before Fendi, Prada emerged as a luggage brand in 1913 and has since risen to fame. The designer is all about the nylon here. Her pieces are purposely proportioned and she has even incorporated this year's color of the year (i.e. violet).

Palomo Spain: Fall 2018

Palomo Spain isn't afraid to show some skin during his Milan show. His dramatic yet skimpy looks appear to have been borrowed from the pages a storybook. Not to mention how well the models complement the renaissance art in the background. The designer, inspired by hunter/huntress looks, intended to capture the fantasy of Robin Hood.

Marni: Fall 2018

Marni was met with protest from Animal Rights Activists before their runway show. Despite the outrage, Consuelo Castiglioni continued the show as planned. He showcased a hodgepodge mix of patterns, colors, fabrics and thankfully, no fur. The designer remarked that he has created his looks by simply "thinking how a child thinks."

Ralph Lauren Purple Label: Fall 2018

Finally, I'd like to end by admiring these stylish, dapper men in pristine suits. Well done, Ralph Lauren!
